mengsong raw pu'er

Origin: Mengsong, Yunnan, China / Harvest: Spring 2018

Why We Love It: Made from old trees (300+ years old) from a garden high in the mountains of Mengsong, this tea has an impressive complexity for its age. It's got the classic floral aroma, deep mouth feel, and lasting cooling sensation (hui gan) we look for in an incredible pu'er. It also brings us a sense of pure elation, no real explanation why - we just get giddy when we drink this one. Maybe it's the qi.

We Taste: Crispness, floral, and mint

How We Brew It: Steep 5 grams in 8 ounces of 190F water for 1-2 minutes. Can re-steep 2-3 times. We recommend using 7 grams when brewing in a gaiwan.
