recipe: kanoka rose cocktail

Our Kanoka Rose Cocktail was a hit at the OneTea x The Green Table Supper Party! The playful take on classic Persian Rose Tea was paired with Persian Spiced Lamb Shank or a Vegetarian Sabzi. The deep profile of the Kanoka Assam tea blossomed with the floral aroma of the rose water and petals. Give it a try at home and let us know how you like it!

INGREDIENTS (Makes 1 cocktail) 

  • 2 oz Kanoka Assam infused vodka (We used Prohibition Distillery Vodka - recipe below)

  • 1 oz homemade spiced simple syrup (recipe below) 

    • 3 cinnamon sticks

    • 3 star anise

    • 12 dried cloves 

    • 1 dehydrated orange twist

  • .75 oz lemon juice

  • 3 dashes cardamom bitters

  • Spritz of rose water

  • Dried rose petals


For the Kanoka Assam infused vodka: Add 2 tablespoons of Kanoka Assam tea to 750ml of Prohibition Distillery vodka in a large mason jar and stir to combine. Set aside for 3 hours to infuse. Strain out tea and store vodka in a cool, dark place until ready to use.

For the spiced simple syrup: For 1 quart of syrup, mix equal parts sugar and near boiling water. Add 3 cinnamon sticks, 3 star anise, 12 dried cloves and 1 dehydrated orange twist. Mix and let sit for 45 min. Strain and refrigerate until ready to use. 

For the cocktail: In a cocktail shaker add the vodka, simple syrup, lemon juice and bitters. Add ice and shake. Pour over a 12 oz glass full of ice that has been rinsed with the rose water. Garnish with 3-4 Dried Rose Petals.
